Jorgeluis Gallegos

Computer Science junior at The University of Texas at Arlington

I build backend and full-stack software, mostly in Python and TypeScript. Most of my projects started as problems I wanted solved, like tracking my PC and 3D printer from one live dashboard, and I learned whatever each one needed along the way. I like shipping fast, but I don't call something done until I understand why it works.

Currently looking for software engineering internships for Summer 2027.

About

I'm a Computer Science student at UT Arlington, where I've worked on a five person ACM team building MavVision. Most of what I build starts with something I'm curious to learn about and want to understand.

I also spent almost two years at Chick-fil-A as a Certified Trainer, teaching new team members and running shifts. It taught me to explain things clearly and keep a team moving when it gets busy, which matters just as much on a software team.

Most of my projects start with something that got out of hand. The 3D printer led to a telemetry pipeline, and a physics class led to a rocket simulator. Next on the list is building something with LLMs.
